Horrible experience, the type all vacationers dread. I traveled to New York City with a party of 9 which included friends and family, this trip was our first time in the Big Apple. As all vacationers, we booked a bunch of tours and excursions, the only thing missing was the Statue of Liberty. When you get off the subway and exit to the street level, these vultures in red are waiting to scam you in a bait and switch. We told the gentleman in the red that we had a 5 PM previously scheduled tour and we wanted to tour the Statue of Liberty but it would have to be at the time of our arrival which was 1:40 PM. That individual guaranteed he could get to the Statue of Liberty and back with enough time for us to attend our previously scheduled 5 PM tour. We moved forward and purchased the tickets, after we were boarded onto the shuttle bus, a third individual from this company named Anthony demanded we exit the bus as our tickets were for 5 PM, Anthony also stated we would get a refund, once we returned to the point of purchase, The man in black stated we would not be getting a refund. In addition, this whole situation felt as if we got scammed, we were told we would get to the Statue of Liberty at 2:30pm, we were pulled off of the shuttle bus in complete embarrassment and were not afforded the promised refund. Buyer beware, avoid yourself the headaches and avoid these vultures. Lastly, when The manager found out what was going on, he became highly upset and started demanding answers from his staff as his staff told us to tip Anthony $20 so that we could cut in front of the line, not at our request, but at theirs; that entire operation is nothing but a bunch of cutthroat heathens, stay away.
